De De Pyaar De 2 is landing on Netflix January 9, and honestly, if you’re into Bollywood, you’ll want to save the date. The first film made waves back in 2019, and now the sequel is back with even more laughs, family chaos, and awkward romance. Anshul Sharma directs, and with Ajay Devgn, Rakul Preet Singh, and R. Madhavan leading the cast, you’re in for a wild ride. The movie hit the box office on November 14, 2025, raking in over 100 crore worldwide, with critics split down the middle. The story picks up right where we left off, with Ashish Mehra (Ajay Devgn), a 51-year-old investor living in London, thinking he’s finally got his family’s stamp of approval. But now he faces an even bigger challenge, meeting the relatives of his 27-year-old girlfriend, Aisha Khurana (Rakul Preet Singh). Things go off the rails fast, especially when Ashish butts heads with Aisha’s father, Rakesh Khurana (R. Madhavan), who, get this, is just a year and a half younger than Ashish. The movie dives into hilarious misunderstandings, a fake wedding plot with Aisha’s childhood friend Aditya (Meezaan Jafri), and a parade of secrets and wild revelations. The cast really brings it. Ajay Devgn nails the role of Ashish, caught between pride and panic, while R. Madhavan steals the spotlight as the overprotective (and slightly scheming) dad. Rakul Preet Singh is a total force as Aisha, she’s got spark, depth, and a ton of heart. There’s Jaaved Jaaferi as Ashish’s wisecracking friend Raunak, Gautami Kapoor as Aisha’s mom adding warmth, and a surprise cameo from Yo Yo Honey Singh in the party anthem “Jhoom Sharabi” that just cranks up the energy.

Behind the scenes, this film took some real grit. Luv Ranjan wrote it, T-Series produced it, and the team shot all over Mumbai, Punjab, and London. The music’s catchy too, with tracks like “Raat Bhar” and “3 Shaukk” from the likes of Yo Yo Honey Singh and Payal Dev.
